Laundry Day in the City of the Presidents (Statues)
Today was a well earned day off of the bike. Labor Day today so all was very quiet. Rapid City is billed as the Gateway to the Black Hills and the City of Presidents. There is a life sized bronze statue of a president on most street corners. This is South Dakota’s second largest city and is named after the Rapid River which flows nearby. Nothing too eventful to report. The heat has returned so hot riding this week!
